Russian cellist says funds revealed in Panama Papers came from donations

The Russian cellist, joined by Panama documents to a trail of money billions has spoken for the first time since the story broke.


The musician Sergei Roldugin was identified as an old friend of Vladimir Putin, joined by the flight documents a number of offshore companies with cash flows of up to $2 billion.

A week later, in a 20-minute segment broadcast on Russian State television, Roldugin dismissed the idea that he was immensely rich or safeguarding money and assets for Putin.

Without directly responding to accusations that he personally controls a series of assets by at least $100 million, he insisted that his Roldugin (wealth) is limited to a series of donations from wealthy businessmen in order to acquire expensive musical instruments to young Russians.

Panama Papers Tie More of China’s Elite to Secret Accounts

At least three of the seven people in the most powerful Committee of the Communist Party of China, including President Xi Jinping, have relatives who have controlled the secret offshore companies, the organization that has released a treasure trove of documents filtered about the wealth hidden informed.


The revelations of the Organization, the international consortium of research journalists, risked new embarrassment to the Chinese authorities, which already put nervous and enraged by leaks of documents, known as Panama's organizing documents.

the Chinese Government censors have moved aggressively since the first version of the leaked documents on Sunday to flush out mention of any means of them in China, going so far as to block searches on the Internet and online discussions that involve the words (Papers Panama).

ISTANBUL: Turkey and Saudi Arabia could launch a ground operation against militants militant Islamic state (IS) in Syria and Riyadh also sends warplanes a Turkish foundation for combating extremism, the Turkish foreign minister said Saturday.
